Tanairí Ochoa-Martínez's journey is one of remarkable resilience and determination. Raised in Phoenix, she has turned her challenges into strengths, shaping a path of impressive achievements. Ochoa-Martínez earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations with a minor in Social Entrepreneurship, Saint Mary’s University ‘13, followed by a Master's in Public Administration ASU ‘17. Currently, as a PhD candidate at Arizona State University, she focuses on Bi-National Economic Development, demonstrating her deep commitment to fostering cross-border economic ties.

Her introduction into politics was marked by a significant milestone in 2016 when she was elected to the Alhambra Elementary School District Board while nine months pregnant, receiving the highest number of votes. Demonstrating her dedication to public service, advocating, and seeking the approval for teacher salary increased, she is now running as the Democratic candidate for State Representative in Legislative District 29.

Professionally, Ochoa-Martínez has made substantial contributions as the Director of Fuerza Local, a nonprofit that trains Latino small business owners. Her signature initiative, the Business Accelerator program, epitomizes her ability to foster growth and development. Under her leadership, the program saw a remarkable increase in successful graduates and expanded its reach to seven distinct communities across Arizona.

Ochoa-Martínez's entrepreneurial spirit was evident early in her career. Since 2010, she has been a business owner, initially starting a translations company to provide job opportunities for undocumented college students. Today, she owns three diverse businesses: a legal document preparation service, a private investigation agency, and a research and evaluation agency.

Tanairí's personal life is as rich and fulfilling as her professional one. She is married to José Eduardo Martínez, a Captain in the Arizona Army National Guard symbolizing a union of commitment both to family, state, and to the nation. Together, they have two children, Eduardo and Tanairí II, aged 7 and 6, respectively, forming a close-knit family grounded in values of service, education, and community involvement.

Tanairí Ochoa-Martínez's life is a testament to her multifaceted talents and relentless pursuit of growth, leadership, and community service. From her early struggles as an undocumented immigrant to her current status as a prominent community leader and political figure, her life story is an inspiring example of overcoming barriers and making significant contributions to society.
